Chickens are far more intelligent, social, and expressive than many people realize. They recognize familiar faces, establish complex social relationships, communicate through dozens of unique vocalizations, and each has a distinct personality. From the confident flock leader to the shy hen who prefers to watch from a distance, every chicken brings something special to the farm.
At Clusterduck Farms & Rescue, our chickens are valued members of the family. Our flock includes rescued chickens, owner surrenders, hatchery birds, and chicks hatched right here on the farm. Some have arrived with injuries or health challenges, while others simply needed a safe place to live. Here they spend their days scratching through the grass, dust bathing, hunting for insects, soaking up the sunshine, and, of course, reminding us when they've proudly laid an egg.
We believe every chicken deserves kindness, proper care, and the opportunity to express natural behaviors. Chickens are curious, hardworking animals that play an important role in a healthy farm ecosystem while providing endless entertainment with their unique personalities and antics.
